Finished App

So my app is under review and I can not view it while it is under review. I took the two screen shots of what is on the page but it does have 5 sections, Llamas, Pictures, Videos, Social links, and Contact. I will take the screen shots on the other pages when available.

I also made a logo as my splash screen

The app has some facts about llamas under the llama page. Under the photo page it has some photos. Under videos it has some of the best videos you will ever see. Under Social links you can access an array of different social sites that have to do with llamas. Finally under contact you can get directions to the nearest llama farm, access the ilovellamas.com, call the nearest llama farm or email me! It was tones of fun to make and that's all.

My App dawgs!

I am building a app that will educate the masses with the priceless knowledge of Llamas. The content that you will be reading through your desolate little eye balls will be of great stature. People from near and far will want to download this app to there devices for the shear satisfaction of knowing they can be total hipster about llamas with other people.

"What app is that your on?"
"Ow you have never heard of it" HIPSTER!

My specific users would be any soul looking to widely increase there knowledge of awesome yet pointless information. It may not be something as important as knowing simple subtraction but its way better than the app Gurgle, you have never heard of it.

How will I keep my user base? Please, this isn't the top 40 where songs come and go, this is special. This app is something that people will charish with the lives of small children. Don't bother with this "How are you going to keep and grow your user base?" that will never be a problem with this app.

How will I get my apps to my customers? Well I will click the publish button. This is like the Super Bowl, or the Royal Wedding. Their is no need for advertisement, people will feel it. The world will stop for a split second while every insignificant little person in the world realizes that in there app store, a new app has been born. Time will move in slow motion as you wait for it to download knowing when it is finished, you will have one of the most important things ever created on your unworthy device.

Who will need money when every soul in the world has a unreachable amount of respect for you.

I can feel your anticipation for this app. The sweet falls down your back as you lean close to your computer screen waiting for me to finish the app. You constantly check the app store, I know. All I have to do is get my foundation started for the app and make sure it is perfect.

I will need pictures, that is all. You think that with just using pictures and information that it will be lame...well shame on you. You will beg for forgiveness the day you download it and realize that you lied to the world and to yourself. The day is near, prepare yourselves.

What tis an app?

An app is a application like games, utility's, and educational tools that you can be used on a device. Applications include things that might add effects to your camera, help you find your car, keep track of things, or kill pigs with birds. Apps have been around a long time but really took off with the launch of the iPhone in the summer of 2007. Apple launched the app store so you could get apps on your iPhone. Android phone also have a market place with many of the same apps.

To download an app you will need a mobile device like a iPhone, iPad, Android or even a blackberry (Noobs - talking about you Aimee). With each device is a new operating system for each, and each has its own version of a app store. You have to download the app from the version of the app store your on and then you can play it.

The apps you download can also access data on your phone. Each app you download has a set of policies that will tell you what the app will do on your phone. Some apps will take information from your phone to display the right ads on the app that will apply to your interests. Some apps will need to use your location for things like directions and finding where you need to go and such. Some apps can look at anything from your interests to your phone number and address.

The reason apps collect location data is because it needs to find out where you are. Some reasons are so the app can help you get walking directions to the nearest gas station. Another reason is to find out what you live around so they can have ads that relate to you. Google earth and Google maps are big users of your location for obvious reasons.

Some apps are free for a lot of reasons. Any app is free to get to the largest audience possible but other reasons can differ. One reason is so that they can get you to download it for free, then put ads on the app so they can still make money. Another reason is so that the developer can use the app as a advertisement for something else they are involved with.

Apps have advertisements so that the developers can make money. Developing a app is not free so the developer needs to make money some how. If they didn't have adds they would have to charge money for the app which would drastically reduce the audience downloading the app.

Like I said earlier apps can access your interests and location through your phone so that the ads in a app are specific to you and your interests.

Updates are a great Idea for a app and the user should definably update them. The update can provide security patches for the app and as a bonus updates usually include new levels to a game or new features for that app.

When you go to download an app you might read the reviews to see if its worth your time and bandwidth. You will see positive and negative reviews but some developers will pose as users and post positive reviews. So when you read the reviews just be careful.

Kyles Open Source blog thing woo!

Open source to me is a program that is open to the public, because that's what it is. When something is open source it isn't worked on by just a small group of people controlling it, it is worked on by everyone who wants to. One of the best things about it is that open source programs are free to anyone. Open source also is great for developers because open source software allows you to retain not just the right to use the software you already have, but the ability to continue to use it as your needs change. There is no going out of business and stopping your product from being produced.

For the end-user open source is also a great thing. We as the end users get the software for free to use and change. We can download it, change it, develop it, or just use it as it is. And with developers making open source programs mostly out of acclaim from peers and others, they will continue to create cool software for are benefit.

One open source program I love is Mozilla Firefox. Why? Because it is the internet explorer killer and that makes me happy. I am a web designer and I know the horrors of using IE. To watch all your hard work just not show up is saddening and Firefox fixes that. Most everything with Firefox works when speaking in terms of web development and that's what you want. Firefox is free, open source, and gaining popularity. It is the most popular browser and I expect it to be the most popular open source software. Firefox makes up for around 39% of all browsers in use with Chrome to at 32%. Firefox is cool beans and I hope you think so to, or at least don't use IE...please.

I haz iCloud?

Yes! I haz it! We all do! The cloud services available are amazing and make are life very easy. Cloud computing, to me, is a revolutionary way to make sure we don't lose important information and on top of that It allows us to store are information securely. It is something that in the future will be the bases of computers. No more hard drive failures and losing all your stuff, It will all be on the cloud!

Now you might be like, "Kyle! where da eff is this cloud, I aint touchin it, I aint seeing it, so where it be!?"

Well The cloud is everywhere you are, you can get your information from any devise that had internet access. You information is stored in a large, cold, expensive building somewhere so you don't have to worry about it.

The iCloud service is my favorite only because it is the only one I use, but after doing some research I really am interested in the amazon cloud. It allows you to put any files you want in it for free (up to 5gb ). So if you have any important files (Aimee) that you need to back up (Aimee) then you can! The iCloud service works very similar but it it focused around Apple devices and automatically takes, saves, and pushes all you data to all your devises so everything is in sync.
